Yes, it's a lot of detail, but the more info you give, the more people will see your event notice. What Grows On in Rhode Island is thoroughly indexed so events will show up in many different views.
About some of the Fields:
- Fields with asterisks (*) are required.
- LOCATION is a room or a place, e.g., Conference Room C, Goddard State Park
- ADDRESS is the street address, town/city and state. It is required, and it enables your event's location to show up on a map. If it won't accept your address (this may happen with outdoor locations such as parks and wildlife refuges), see below, HELP! It won't take an address!
- EVENT INFORMATION is the place to paste the whole event notice as a double check.
- CATEGORIES (you can choose more than one) helps with indexing and is required
- TOWN/CITY, STATE fields make location indexing possible. NOT RI enables people outside RI to list their events.
- ORGANIZED BY and GROUP HOMEPAGE lets people know your group name and website and gives you publicity
- WEB LINK is for the specific page where your event is listed on your website.
