Your website can also display part or all of the What Grows On in Rhode Island Calendar. Some options are free, and some are fee-based.
Why do this?
If you're organization is geared to outdoor activities or children's education, for instance, your website visitors will like finding out about local hikes and paddles, or about how to help children enjoy the outdoors. If your group is concerned with the environment, promoting environmental events on your website will help your readers find opportunities to become more involved.
This website uses the very robust Trumba Calendar service, which provides several promotional "spuds" ~ widgets ~ code that can be pasted into your webpage and generate your choice of displays of the Calendar. These options include display by EVENT TYPE (see What's Listed in the Calendar? for a description of these types), but custom Calendars can be created for a fee. Category and Location Calendars can also be generated, so that your website could display all the Garden events, or all the events in Warwick, for instance.
Some spuds "crawl," but if that drives you crazy there are nice, sedate promo spuds. Spuds are available for the Whole Shebang, or for any of the SubShebangs, for instance, the Children's Activities or the Outdoors, Nature SubCalendars.
These spuds can be customized in several ways ~ font, color, number of events/days displaying, length of display, and speed of the scroll, among others. Warp speed is not yet available, but that wouldn't be recommended anyway.

The Whole Shebang and each SubShebang also have RSS feeds, which you can set up yourself if you are using a Feed Reader on your website. To see what this would look like, check out the What Grows On RI Feed. To get this feed, click the RSS button at the right top of the Calendar or SubCalendar of your choice. I'm still learning what the Calendar will do myself. It's very powerful!
